Any Ideas How To Get Rid Of This Constipation?

I have just started back on my Slimming World diet (lost 3.5 stone before – put 1 stone back on – so I’m trying to lose it again plus a bit more).
Since I started back on the diet I have not been able to go to the toilet and have ended up taking a Senokot (tablet for constipation relief) every 7 days just to clear myself out.
Surely 7 days to go without a poo is not healthy, and that doesnt even happen naturally.
I drink plenty of water and eat lots of fruit on this diet so I cannot understand it.
Any ideas?

    Try mixing your diet and bowel movements toghter.
    Try upping your fibre content in your diet, you could eat prunes, dates of figs, and then you have a healthy snack.
    ALSO try upping your water intake, if your stools are moister then your body may find it easier to exit them.
    If all else fails, as you have tried senokot go to your doctor, as you COULD have a bowel problem.

    over here in the States they make something called Fibersure. it’s a powder mix that you can cook into your foods. it’s supposed to work pretty well. there’s also some drink mixes that are completely clear and tasteless that you can mix in water or juice and drink every day or chew a Benefiber tablet. another thing that helps regular intestinal problems is probiotic acidophilus. it’s essentially the same thing as eating yogurt every day, but it’s a little pill form.

    fibre 69 is very good you also put this in your food and cannot taste it.

    Eat that new yogurt that makes you regular. I don’t remember what it’s called. I think it Activa?

    Drink some warm applejuice, it is a old home remedy that works quick! My mom told me to drink it once when I was a kid and it really helped.

    Well yr question seems very complicated. What i can recommened is that dont take any medicine continiously.
    Emptying stomach dont need any medicine for lifelong period.
    Try some natural things. For example when u wake up in the morning drink hot water with some lime juice in it. Eat more fruit pulps and drink lots of water throughout the day. I hope as u r a swimmer u will get fine in few days.

    buy wome wild cherry juice if its available, it will soften you up and get you going
