Can You Lift Heavy And Still Lose Weight Effectively?
Posted on | 一月 13, 2010 | 4 Comments
Well I’m doing cardio about 5 days a week, and lifting three days a week, and when I lift, i lift heavy (8-10 reps). I do this so that i can possibly gain a little muscle as i lose weight(fat), and i’m also on a cut calorie diet. Is the lifting heavy going to affect my fat loss at all? I heard somewhere that it’s imposible to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time, since the chemicals involved are the same for both
if you can get what you want, how about searching the result in the following search box,i strongly believe that you can get what you want.Comments

8-10 reps does not equate to lifting heavy neccesarily. Do you mean training hard?
It is completly possible to lose weight and get stronger. It was bodybuilders do cyclically throughout the year. I would suggest setting your goals. If strength is your goal focus on that, but if losing fat is your goal and it sounds like it is. Then focus on your diet, cardio, and high intesity workouts.
For examples how to fit in cardio with weight training, go here http://www.crossfit.com

Hello
First, I understand where you’re coming from.
Here’s what I found out after lots of research and trial and error, the hard way.
The reality is that there are no shortcuts or easy ways to get in good shape. Sorry, but someone needed to tell you this.
As long as you get conscious about what you are doing, you will see the results.
Below you will find the four principles that you need to keep in mind in your weight-loss journey.http://topsecreteverloss.blogspot.com/
1.Forget About Diets
People that go from diet to diet never reach a stable weight, let alone a good shape. The reason is quite simple: diets are, by their very nature, temporary. You can’t expect to eat properly for two or three weeks and fix your weight problems for the rest of the year.
2.Proper Nutrition
If you want to keep your weight and fat percentage under control, you will need to learn the basics of nutrition. Once you learn them, you will be able to eat healthy throughout the year.
3.Physical Exercise
Eating healthy and having a caloric deficit will only take you half the way. The other key factor is physical exercise.
4.Discipline and Perseverance
You can start eating healthy and exercising properly, but unless you stick doing it regularly, the results won’t appear (if they do, they won’t last).
Discipline and perseverance are key here.

Idk where you heard that but they are wrong. While burning fat you can gain muscle. However, you should be doing heavy weights at 3-5 reps instead of 8-10. The amoutn you are doing will only tone you for the most part. Add some weight, get a spotter, adn do 3-5 reps and you will gain muscle faster. dont forget to rest!

I like the method of cutting carbs way down to promote fat burning. Don’t knock yourself out with too much exercise at this point. Look at the South Beach Diet. Also buy some Ketone testing strips (Ketostix by Bayer) at the pharmacy. Test your urine every couple of days to check your fat burning.
